A Westley Richards & Co Ltd ‘Highest Possible’ .177 Calibre Air pistol.
Manufactured by Westley Richards of London. Patented in 1907 and manufactured between 1909 to late 1914.
This pistols serial number is 80 only approximately 1050 were manufactured making this a rare collectable air pistol.
This is the top barrel model second variant and features ‘horn’ grips.
The back sight is as the first variant ‘dovetailed’ type these features possibly making this a transitional model.
This particular pistol is in good overall condition for its age most of the blueing has worn to a brown/grey patina with minor pitting to the cylinder and barrel and action.
The stampings on the cylinder detailing ‘WESTLEY RICHARDS “HIGHEST POSSIBLE” AIR PISTOL with the patent “PATENT 24837 1907 on the frame are clear.
The grips are not cracked and the front and rear sights are complete and functioning.
The pistol cocks and fires with no issues
